Sensor de Temperatura Infrarojo MLX90614 de Melexis que mide temperaturas de entre -70 a +380 ºC sin contacto.
Funcionamiento:
El elemento sensor en el MLX90614 es un chip de silicio con una fina membrana micromecanizada sensible a la radiación infrarroja de un objeto distante. Una etapa de adaptación de medida de la señal amplifica y digitaliza la señal procedente de la membrana y calcula la temperatura del objeto usando la calibración configurada en fábrica. La temperatura de salida digital es linealizada y compensada completamente contra las variaciones de la temperatura ambiente.
El MLX90614 incorpora amplificadores avanzados de bajo ruido, un convertidor A/D de 17 bits y un potente procesador digital de señales en su chip de acondicionamiento de señal, lo que permite un amplio rango de temperaturas de trabajo de - 40 ºC a 125 ºC y un rango de temperaturas ampliado del objetivo a medir ampliado de -70 ºC a 380 ºC, a la vez que mantiene una resolución de la temperatura de 0,02 ºC.
Dispone de una salida SMBus (compatible con I2C) y puede ser configurado para una salida PWM de 10bits.

Description: Melexis' MLX90614ESF-BAA is an infrared thermometer designed for non-contact temperature sensing. An internal 17-bit ADC and a powerful DSP contribute to the MLX90614's high accuracy and resolution. It has a huge number of applications including body temperature measurment and movement detection.
The MLX90614 provides two methods of output: PWM and SMBus (i.e. TWI, I2C). The 10-bit PWM output provides a resolution of 0.14°C, while the TWI interface has a resolution of 0.02°C. The MLX90614 is factory calibrated in wide temperature ranges: -40 to 85°C for the ambient temperature and -70 to 382.2°C for the object temperature. The measured value is the average temperature of all objects in the Field Of View of the sensor. The MLX90614 offers a standard accuracy of 0.5°C around room temperatures.
This devices comes in an industry standard TO-39 package. We're carrying the 3V version of this sensor.
